Antenna switch
Switch between antennas from one radio with a robust coaxial antenna switch built for low loss.
- Coaxial
- Low loss
- HF–UHF
Bench repairs for CB and ham radio equipment, PA repairs and calibration, and antenna installations built with Messi & Paoloni coaxial cable and connectors.
Your rig is checked with test equipment on the bench before we quote, so you pay to fix the real fault and nothing else.
Installations use Messi & Paoloni coaxial cable and connectors, fitted and weather-sealed so they stay low-loss for years.
We design and build antenna switches, guying rings and other station hardware, and we can make custom parts for your setup.
From a dead CB to a full antenna system, we handle the job end to end.
Transceivers, handhelds and base stations brought back to spec.

“Neat install with proper low-loss coax and sealed connectors. Reports on 2 m improved straight away.”
“Clear explanation of the fault and the price before any work started. The amplifier has run perfectly since.”

RF Labs is run by people who operate radios as well as repair them. RF is radio frequency, everything we work on. Labs is the test bench, where every repair, calibration and new design is measured, not guessed.
A radio repair workshop and antenna installer founded by operators, for operators.
RF Labs (formerly HAM Radio Service Ireland) started the way many radio businesses do: friends and fellow operators bringing faulty rigs to someone who knew how to fix them. Word spread through clubs and on air, and the bench got busier.
Today we repair CB and ham radio equipment, fix and calibrate PA units, and install complete antenna systems. Along the way we started designing our own station hardware, because the tools we wanted were hard to find or not built well enough.
We are still radio operators first. That means we test the way you will use the equipment: on air, under load, with the meter connected.
Everything we work on, from 27 MHz CB to HF, 2 m and 70 cm. Radios, PA units, antennas and the coax in between.
Test equipment, not guesswork. It’s where we diagnose faults, calibrate equipment and design our own ham radio tools.
RF + LABS = MEASURED, NOT GUESSED.
Honest diagnosis, quality parts and installations that last, at a fair price explained before we start.
We are not a general phone and TV shop. CB, amateur radio, PA units and antennas are our whole focus.
We fit Messi & Paoloni coaxial cables and connectors because low loss and a good seal matter over the life of an antenna system.
We diagnose the fault, explain it in plain words and agree the price with you before a repair goes ahead.
Our antenna switches and guying rings come from our own design work, tested at our station before we sell them.
Electronics repair for CB and ham radio, PA repairs, calibration and complete antenna installations with quality coaxial cable.
No transmit, no receive, low power, faulty squelch or display. Mobile and base CB radios repaired and aligned.

We test the unit and send you a clear quote before any repair starts.
We repair with quality parts and align the radio to specification.
Final checks under load, then collection or courier back to you.
We repair CB radios, amateur (ham) transceivers and handhelds, and PA units and amplifiers. If you are unsure about your model, send us the make and model and we will tell you.
Yes. We diagnose the fault first and agree the price with you before any repair work goes ahead.
Yes. Contact us first and we will tell you how to pack the equipment and where to send it.
Messi & Paoloni coaxial cables have low loss and consistent build quality, which keeps more of your power at the antenna and lasts longer outdoors.
Depending on the equipment, calibration covers frequency accuracy, deviation, output power and meter readings, checked against our reference test equipment.
Installations are arranged case by case. Tell us your location and what you need, and we will confirm availability.
Electronics repair for CB radios, amateur transceivers and handhelds, done on a proper test bench.
| Equipment | CB mobile and base radios, HF/VHF/UHF ham transceivers, handhelds |
|---|---|
| Diagnosis | Bench test with quote before repair |
| Checks after repair | Power output, frequency, modulation, receive sensitivity |

Amplifier and PA unit repairs, plus calibration and alignment so your equipment reads and performs correctly.
PA units and linear amplifiers fail under heat and load. We find the cause, not just the burnt part.
Checked against reference test equipment so the numbers on your meters are numbers you can trust.

Mast guying rings that hold guy wires at even angles, keeping your antenna straight in Irish wind.
Ring set fitted and guyed on a carbon mast
A guying ring lets the mast turn or flex slightly while the guy wires stay put, spreading the load evenly.

|---|---|
| Guy points | 4 to 8 guy-line holes, depending on ring size |
| Example size | 200 mm ring, 55.5 mm centre bore, 6 mm guy-line holes |
| Mast size | Made to suit your mast diameter |
| Finish | Weather-resistant for outdoor use |
